Loony Left: Pay back your debts, Argentina. The truth is they never left you

The week's madness courtesy of Argentina, Hustler Magazine, Mehdi Hasan, Tonya Dixon-Neely and her love for Obama, WWF, and Dean Obeidallah

1. PAY BACK YOUR DEBTS, ARGENTINA

Pay back your debts, Argentina

The truth is they never left you

All through your wild days

Your mad existence

You broke your promise

Time for remittance

2. S.E. CUPP HUSTLED

Ever notice how dyed-in-the-wool lefties chuck Ayn Rand’s name about as if it’s the death knell of any argument? It usually goes something like this: “You read Ayn Rand, therefore you are not only wrong about everything, but also a selfish, in-humane tosser!”

Anyway, Hustler magazine (yes, that Hustler magazine) has taken this questionable stance and run with it a little. Actually, a lot; all the way to third base in fact.

The jewel in the crown of Democrat Larry Flynt’s seedy empire has insinuated that because conservative commentator, S.E. Cupp, “read too much Ayn Rand in high school and ended up joining the dark side” – and because she “espouses dumb ideas like de-funding Planned Parenthood” – she deserves to be photo shopped with a…well…with…ah, just look for yourself...

What will the feminists make of that?

3. BAD WEEK FOR MEHDI HASAN

The sun has been shining; the birds have been singing; George Monbiot and Noam Chomsky have had a little tiff. It’s been a great week.

Unless you’re Mehdi Hasan.

It'd be nice to think that the sun has put its hat on and that the birds have been fine-tuning their syrinxes as a direct consequence of Hasan’s misfortunes – kind of like Snow White, in reverse -- but I think it's probably just coincidence.

Either way, a bad week it has surely been -- and that's ignoring the video that last week’s Loony Left brought to your attention. (As an aside, despite referring to The Commentator as an “obscure, neocon-wannabe website” previously, Hasan was clearly riled enough to respond…)

So far today, I've been compared by web's right-wingers to a terrorist & a dictator. But, of course, they're not being racist/Islamophobic.

I am, of course, talking about the rumours persisting that Hasan was in fact sacked from his role at the New Statesman, thus rather wazzing on his “big step up to the Huffington Post UK” bonfire.

Awkward.

Worse still, with the story making rather, shall we say, sensational headlines across the Atlantic, what's the betting that Arianna Huffington will be mulling over her choice of recruit?

UPDATE: Fox News has now picked up the scent too...
