Guardian's "Shameless" Seumas Milne with more lunatic anti-Israel ranting
He's an easy target, but he is one of the Guardian's top columnists. So let's trash him!
Neo-totalitarian Guardian columnist Seumas Milne is obviously too much of an easy target to spend much time on. So I won't. But his latest piece today for the Guardian is worth pointing out for this particularly stupid paragraph which is typical of the anti-Israel mindset and the contortions it has to go through to sustain itself:
"So Gazans are an occupied people and have the right to resist, including by armed force (though not to target civilians), while Israel is an occupying power that has an obligation to withdraw – not a right to defend territories it controls or is colonising by dint of military power."
Does anybody actually understand what that means? That sop to not targeting civilians, for example? But, Hamas only ever targets civilians Seumas.
And how can Israel withdraw from Gaza when it has, um, already withdrawn? And, with that in mind, how do you go about "colonising" territories that you have pulled every last one of your men, women and children out of?
I'm writing this late as I await a plane from Nova Scotia, so it's possible I've missed something.
But in all honesty, is the anti-Israel crowd really proud of itself when it reads people like Seumas Milne? Frankly, if he was on my side of the debate, I'd be ashamed....
