Charlie Hebdo: it’s time for war against Islamofascism

My grandfather didn’t fight for freedom in the Second World War against Nazi fascism, only to have Islamofascism take over whilst he’s stuck in a nursing home. I will not stand by and watch as Jewish people are persecuted, intimidated and forced to flee their homes.

Evil on the streets of Britain: Islamists preach freely

The massacre of Charlie Hebdo cartoonists in Paris by two men chanting "Allahu Akbar" is shocking, but not in the least bit surprising. After the brutal beheadings in Syria and Iraq by Islamic State and the slaughter of soldier Lee Rigby on the streets of Britain, the question is not whether there will be another Islamist atrocity but when.

Europe has been accepting and encouraging Islamic extremism for the last decade. Just like Nazism it has crept into every aspect of society; anyone who dares oppose it is branded ‘racist’ and anyone who mocks it risks either having their head cut off whilst walking down the street or being shot at point blank range.

Thousands of underage girls in Rotherham were being sexually abused and raped repeatedly; the Police, council and social services did nothing. We have witnessed gangs of Muslims waving placards on the streets of Britain praising 9/11 and stating, ‘behead those who insult Islam’, without fear of arrest. Trojan horse schools in Birmingham preached against gay people and enforced gender segregation for years before anybody realised what was going on.

A culture of political correctness, and fear of ‘upsetting’ or ‘offending’ minority communities has meant different laws for different people. Authorities turn a blind eye to illegal practices such as gender segregation, while extremist preachers with homophobic views are invited to preach on campus at our prestigious academic institutions.

Under Labour’s appalling record, terrorists like hook-handed Abu Hamza were preaching hatred openly on Britain’s streets, their jihad fully funded by the British taxpayer. It was only due to the persistence of Home Secretary Theresa May that Hamza was eventually booted out, again after many thousands of pounds wasted on legal bills.

Shockingly, in the last ten years, anti-Semitism has become widely accepted. Former Labour MP Oona King left was branded a “Jewish bitch” and had vegetables and eggs thrown at her at a Jewish memorial service. More than 100,000 French Jews have left the country due to intimidation and fear. Remind you of anything?

Haven’t we learned any lessons from the Second World War? Our forefathers, friends and fellow freedom lovers gave their lives to fight the greatest evil known to humanity. Yet when Nazism is alive and well in the form of Islamofascism, surely our biggest sin is knowingly letting it oppress the Jewish people once again.

Every time another violent murder is committed by a home grown Islamic extremist, the same old cycle repeats itself. A spokesperson from the establishment pops up on the TV to remind us all that Islam is a religion of peace and love and the leftists try to blame the atrocity on society or the terrorists' poor start in life.

People are fed up with hearing the same old excuses and its time for some reform and clear direction.

My grandfather didn’t fight for freedom in the Second World War against Nazi fascism, only to have Islamofascism take over whilst he’s stuck in a nursing home. I will not stand by and watch as Jewish people are persecuted, intimidated and forced to flee their homes.

The time has come to make it clear that Islamofascism not only has no place in Britain or indeed Europe, but those who spread it should face arrest or deportation. Our softly-softly approach has only given the terrorists more oxygen and freedom to increase their influence and power and we have put ourselves in a very dangerous position.

Britain, like France is a free and tolerant country and we should be proud of that. But we have allowed our tolerance to be abused. The result of this is that those who preach intolerance have been set free to creep into the fabric our two great countries.

We must protect the flame of freedom from the evils of Islamofascism, or there will be no torch of liberty to pass to the next generation and darkness will fall once again upon Europe.

Evil only triumphs when good men do nothing, and in the name of those who gave their lives for our freedom, we must rid our country of the evils of Islamofascism now, before it's too late.
