Early day motion 2320 denounces anti-Semitism in Occupy protests
John Mann MP has acknowledged the problem of anti-Semitism in the Occupy protests. Help him out.
Last week we brought you an editorial discussing the anti-Semitism that is coursing through the British establishment. From media bias to #Occupy protests, there's something all too familiar about the Jewish obsession currently being propagated in this country and further afield, most notably on Wall Street too.
This is why we at The Commentator (non-Jews, by the way), were delighted to note this Early Day Motion by John Mann MP today calling for the condemnation of the anti-Semitism during the #Occupy protests.
We don't want to tar the whole 'movement' with the same brush though. We have plenty of problems (most economic and philosophical) with the #Occupy guys - and we're not about to say they're all rampant racists. But some are - and they need to be disproved and educated on these matters.
John Mann's Early Day Motion can help to do this. Get in touch with your MP today by clicking here and ask them to sign EDM 2320 immediately (and tell them you read about it on The Commentator!)
FULL TEXT OF THE EARLY DAY MOTION FOLLOWS:
OCCUPY PROTESTS
- Session: 2010-12
- Date tabled: 27.10.2011
- Primary sponsor: Mann, John
-
Sponsors:
That this House notes the `Occupy Wall Street' and `Occupy London Stock Exchange' protest movements; believes the right to protest is an essential tenet of democracy; further notes concerns have been raised in America about the anti-Semitic nature of some of those protests; further believes signs referring to `Hitler's Bankers' and `Google Jewish Billionaires' are offensive and have no place at such protests; further believes the verbal or physical abuse of Jews by demonstrators is unacceptable; and calls on leaders of the Occupy demonstrations worldwide to condemn anti-Semitism and act to stamp it out whenever it occurs.

Surely it is now considered acceptable in this country to be anti-Jewish, but certainly not ant-Arab. The BBC sets this tone, with Jews and Israel being synonymous.
This site should'nt be called "The Commentator", it should be called "The Hasbara Propagandist".
Editors note: If being anti-racist is in some way, shape or form an inherently Israeli trait, well then we'd rather be Israeli.
@Me Says:, I think you posted on the wrong website, I imagine you were tring to post on the Guardians Cif where your fellow travellers spend most of their time demonising the Israelis.
The pity for people such as 'Me Says" is that they have nothing to add to any conversation apart from recycling the same old slogans.
Living in the Netherlands the government has recently released its yearly figures of hate crimes, the Jewish section of our population has been experiencing since 2001 a 100% a year increase of anti-semitic attacks, in the neighbouring country of Belgium the situation is even worse, the constant drip of anti-Israeli propaganda by the left-wing media (e.g.BBC) is clearly making a bad problem even worse, something needs to be done and the EU should start by forcing the UN to stop with it's idiotic approach to Israel & Palestine ( i.e. Israel bad, Palestine good).
It is also clear that many people have no clue about the Jewish people, it seems that many of the pro-Palestinian supporters think that all Jews are Zionists, which is something that the BBC's middle east reporters seem happy to go unchallenged.
I am not Jewish but feel that the clear anti-racist platform that organisations lie the BBC and Guardian provide to rabid anti-Semitics is a disgrace, and reflects very poorly on UK citizens.

Is it possible to find out which MPs signed EDM 2320?
