Zac Goldsmith, the Conservative Party candidate for London Mayor, has stated his Eurosceptic credentials by claiming that the European Union is “profoundly undemocratic, unaccountable and far too centralised.”

Speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, Goldsmith gave his support to Prime Minister David Cameron who he said he hoped could deliver meaningful reform of the EU. Goldsmith also said that and he wanted to judge the final offer when it arrives.

He also gave full backing to grow London’s economy saying, “You do not want to turn the taps off on overseas investment in London.” But Goldsmith also warned that many Londoners risk being priced out of their own city by booming house prices and put forward plans to tackle the crisis.

In a sideswipe against his opponent Labour’s Sadiq Khan, Goldsmith warned that Labour’s pro-strike leader and his opponent were architects of Labour’s radical transformation into a left-wing radical party.
