The FinTech50 shortlist has been announced, revealing the 50 hottest financial technology companies in Europe at Money20/20 in Copenhagen. The launch event was run by FinTechCity, the leading hub for FinTech innovation. It's key partner is GFT, the global provider of advisory, business consulting, IT and software services to the investment banking community.

The prestigious FinTech50 ceremony lists the top 50 European FinTech companies that are transforming the financial services industry.

Commenting on the launch Albert Franquesa, Principal Innovation Consultant at GFT said: “The FinTech50 showcases the brightest and most innovative companies that are set to transform the financial services industry and we congratulate all those who have been recognised.”

GFT is a major supporter of FinTech and is patron of this year’s Applied FinTech cluster at the established annual CODE_n start-up contest, which champions the cause of innovation – in 2015 over 400 start-ups from 40 countries applied, with 50 finalists presenting their business model, and an ultimate winner receiving the €30,000 prize.

This year’s CODE_n final takes place at the Centre for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 20-22 September.

“This is an exciting time for FinTech and we look forward to seeing the very best of UK FinTechs entering the competition, and hopefully attending the CODE_n finals," concluded Franquesa.
