Biden: I’m not running to be a one term President

Joe Biden told the ladies of The View that he wasn't running for President in order, to only, be a one term wonder.

Former Vice-President Joe Biden was on ABC’s The View yesterday, for an in-depth conversation with the show’s all female panel. The questions asked were certainly more probing than those typical of the Sunday morning political shows.

One rumour that had been circulating about former Vice-President Biden’s 2020 Presidential bid, in the run up to yesterday’s official announcement of his candidacy, was that the 76-year-old would only be running for a single term.

Rather than ignore the elephant in the room (or should that be donkey?), Abby Huntsman, whose father had run for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2012, decided to ask the former Vice-President about it directly, in the following exchange:

ABBY HUNTSMAN: Would you do [only] one term?

JOE BIDEN: No

ABBY HUNTSMAN: Good.

JOE BIDEN: Let me put it this way. I may end up, if I get elected, only have a one term, (chuckles) but the idea of committing not to do [more than] one term!”
